AsksChatGPTandGeminiwhat your buyers ask

Through their APIs, with web search on. How we measure

Ask. See. Fix. Ask again.

  1. Scan free

Type your website. We ask ChatGPT and Gemini 5 of your buyers’ questions, 3 times each, without naming you.

  2. Run the full audit

All 30 questions, with Wellread: free for your first 7 days.

  3. Work down the list

An action plan in order: who is named instead of you, and the pages your site is missing, drafted.

  4. Ask again

Every week the same questions are asked again, and the report shows what moved.

The full audit, opened.

What you get after the scan, shown on a made-up company.

A to‑do list, not a dashboard.

Every figure in the report can be traced to the answers behind it.

  1. One number, defined

“Named in 6 of 48 answers.” Not a score you can’t check.

  2. Questions that never name you

Asked in your buyers’ words, without your name, so AI has to bring you up on its own.

  3. Rivals you confirm

The companies the answers named, never a guess. You choose which count.

  4. Does your site answer it?

For every question, the page of yours that answers it, or that none does.

We ran it on ourselves.

Wellread’s audit of its own website, 8 October 2026. The site was 10 days old, and AI named us in 0 of 24 answers where buyers asked for options. This is our starting line.

One of the 30 questions, as Gemini answered it

“Best software to track AI search engine recommendations”

Software designed to track how AI engines (like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews) mention, cite, and recommend your brand falls into the category of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) tracking tools.

It recommended Peec AI first and named 5 more companies. Not Wellread. First on our plan: get mentioned on the pages these answers read, and write the page that answers this question. Read our own audit

Which AI assistants do you ask?

ChatGPT and Gemini, through OpenAI’s and Google’s APIs with web search on.

Where do the questions come from?

We read your website and write the questions your buyers would ask, without your company’s name. Before a full audit you check them, and can add your own.

Why might my results differ from what I see in ChatGPT?

AI answers change from one run to the next, and by place. The audit asks each question 3 times and shows every answer, so one odd answer doesn’t decide your result. How we measure has the details.

Do you write the pages for me?

We draft them, from your own pages and in your words, and mark anything your pages don’t say for you to fill in. You check, fill in and publish. Two are drafted as the audit finishes, the rest when you ask.

Do you change anything on my website?

No. We only read your public pages, the way AI crawlers do, and we never publish anything for you.

What happens to my data?

A scan keeps the website you typed, what it found, and a random id in your browser. An audit keeps your reports and the public page text we read. Signing in with Google shares only your name and email. The privacy policy has the details.
